Looking back it though I can really see what he means.

DS2 is more like the son who ran away at 16, got hooked on meth, and gave blowjobs to truckers while his siblings became some of the world’s greatest doctors and engineers. 2 *

Jeesh That's a pretty harsh, but honest opinion.
BigBossBalrog
I think...it had alot of experimental ideas that have gone on to bear some really tasty fruit in later games. I love some of the enemy designs. The DLC's were good areas with good bosses. There was some great lore additions (Aldia and Vendrick). And that's about all I can say

BigBossBalrog
*Dragon, Bat and Snake Motif. Seems to be a brutal warlord who use terror tactics. Has subtle Vampire motif. Wields a great spear. Title is the IMPALER.* If Radahn is Alexander, and Malenia is Tyr, this guy seems to be Vlad III. Which is awesome

TheCzarsHussar
I've been playing Elden Ring on a new character, got to Volcano Manor last night. I love how Rykard began as this blasphemous, but ultimately honorable and worthy figure but lost himself to depravity and the vore kink. Reminds me of a less pathetic Godrick. BigBossBalrog
This is really cool. Mesmmer was made back when George wrote his initial notes and short story, but they couldn't find a satisfying way to put him in. The DLC as a whole has been built on stuff like this; and alot of it they gave hidden nods to in the base game that people are just discovering now.

BigBossBalrog
According to Hidetaka there's even more lesser Demigods they have profiles of. We'll never be complete without those notes....

If they'd gone with one zone, I'd get being annoyed, but the fact there demo's including ALL of the first stages for each throne, I think i'm a little lenient when it comes to delays

I'm annoyed that they hyped everyone up three times now only to pull the rug.

BigBossBalrog
Wow so completley blown away so far. The presentation is fucking 10 out of 10. It feels like a new From game. The menu's, UI, flavor text, voice acting (stumbled upon like six NPC's so far) are top quality. Everything is custom It even has a PRE-rendered intro cutscene in the vein of Elden Ring. Doing the Lothic Civil War section and it's really good. Gameplay feels like Dark Souls 3.5. They added a few stuff from Elden Ring (Perfect blocking and counter attacks) but didn't go crazy with mechanically bloat. The new enemies are fun and flavorful. (And they did a good job disguising the fact most of them have movesets taken from other souls games, albeit heavily modified.) The environments look awesome. A little complaint is the levels I've played so far are linearish (Like Demon's Souls, but the game takes alot from that so whatever) The new lore is also very intriguing. BigBossBalrog
Wartorn Village is a really cool area. Basically the Undead Settlement by militarized and in the middle of a giant battle AND a Puss of Man outbreak. They added new ranks and soldiers for the loyalists and the Gertrude's followers. A few new Pus of Man variants. My favorite are these Loyalist Fat Knights built off the Executioners from Bloodborne
TheCzarsHussar
Been on a binge watching several of the old trailers and noticed something neat. The Cleanrot Knight shown here doesn't have any of the rot-growths on or within the armor. Their petrification must have eventually came much much later... or when she had her aids explosion
