So long story short; there's a special 100 percent player voted award that the Game Awards do every year. As it turns out, the new (shitty) Sonic game was added to the pool of games...alongside Genshin Impact (a super popular Chinese "gacha" game). They do a series of three round voting. Elden Ring won the first round, Sonic, Genshin, and ER (ugh) all tied for the second...and during the third round, Sonic was up at 80 percent. Another long story short; Sonic fans were apparently making alt accounts, botting, and it turns out, found an exploit to add 10,000 votes to Sonic, which caused it to skyrocket. The Genshin's infamously insane (but I still think less insane then Sonic fans) 70 million strong Chinese fanbase began doing the exact same thing, and now there in the lead and bragging about, causing the Sonic fans to accuse them of cheating (despite it being proven they were the ones cheating first) and it's devolved it a shit-slinging free for all across the fucking internet (twitter, 4chan, reddit, facebook) https://www.pcgamer.com/game-awards-2022-players-voice-sonic-frontiers/ 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There's a Dragon whose a crossbetween a fucking Wyvern and an artic Sabertooth tiger It's kind of crazy how armor and weapons are a 4/10 kind of deal, but their monster and boss art/gameplay direction is a 11/10 Ya'll should give it a chance; game's are so much fun. I forgot how fucking cool the history generator is (It literally generates an entire world's history; which races, monsters, civlisations, great heroes, fortresses, leaders, POTTERY, EVERYTHING are on the map, and even gives them elaborate backstories which can be referenced by in-game events.
