    You know it's strange that Morrowind pulled off the Imperial Plate without feeling generic European so what caused the fuck-up with Oblivion?

    I wouldn't consider all Colovians as 'Southern Nords', mostly those around Bruma which also has a sizable Nordic population too.

    One thing that is often forgotten that I've seen is how people forget the oriental influence on the Legion in Morrowind, it's Romanesque but also feels oriental and even Levant.

    Centurion does have some truth to his comment though, we didn't get the full package in Skyrim.

    I don't like the generic viking vibe it gives off in Skyrim, so much out there stuff was glossed over established albeit loosely in older games. The Nibenese for me gave off a vibe of barbaric non-latin tribals in Italy, ergo one example being the Umbrians

    For a good while you became milk mixed with mead, but then you went back to milk I agree, Morrowind Imperials were the absolutely (Second to Nords >:) the coolest thing. Then Bethesda made them generic Romans.
